Wood Taiwan 2018 Has Successfully Closed and Showcased the Strength of Taiwan Woodworking Industry

Wood Taiwan Showground2018 Taiwan Woodworking Machinery Show (Wood Taiwan), organized by TAITRA and TWMA, has successfully closed on Apr. 5th. The show highlighted on the concept of Industry 4.0 and showcased CNC machinery and high-speed, automated, and intelligent woodworking machines, which assist wood processing and furniture manufacturers in reducing costs, increasing efficiency and providing customized, low volume and high variety production.

After 4 days of action-packed exhibition, more than 6,000 visitors from home and abroad, including those from Japan, Malaysia, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, U.S.A., Korea, Singapore and Thailand, attended the show. It is evident that Wood Taiwan has become one of the top woodworking machinery trade shows and purchasing platforms.

Customers and visitors praise the show and the products

Numerous foreign visitors highly praised the show for its well-rounded exhibits and also gave recognition to Taiwanese woodworking industry and its high quality and competitively priced products. For instance, an importer from Canada, Normand, expressed that the company has been working with Taiwanese firms for many years and is very satisfied with the quality and price of Taiwan machinery. On the other hand, a manager of Holzindustrie Schweighofer S.R.L. from Romania stated that it was the first time he visited Wood Taiwan and felt that Taiwan woodworking manufactures have better quality products and after sales services than those of China, and better price than Europe. Taiwanese manufacturers have a great chance of gaining foothold in European markets. Prowood Machinery LTD from New Zealand confirmed that Wood Taiwan is an important place for maintaining good customer relationship and finding innovative machines and new technologies that are quickly adapted to market trends and demands.

Exhibitors report inquiries and contacts all over the world

Wood Taiwan VisitorsWood Taiwan, being held triennially, gathers local and international indicative companies who showed the latest machines and technologies this year. Many exhibitors, such as LEADERMAC, JUN SHIAU, INNOVATOR, SHEN KO, BOARKE, EXCELLENT, ABM, RU LONG, CHANG TJER, CHEN YUAN, TECHNIK and SUM WISH, have expressed that they have received inquiries from or made contact with buyers from Romania, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Lebanon, Kenya, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and China. All affirmed the effectiveness of the show.

One-on-one meetings and forums

Alongside the abundant exhibits and business interactions happening in the showground, TAITRA invited 7 overseas buyers from Egypt, Spain, Bulgaria, Peru and Romania to participate in 32 One-on-one Procurement Meetings with local exhibitors. Great business opportunities and prospects can be expected afterward. Moreover, the organizers invited executives from HOMAG, SIEMENS and XLam and Taiwan industry experts to share industry trends and their insight in “Green Building” and “Industry 4.0 for Future Factory” at Wood Taiwan 2018 Forum. More than 220 audiences attended, leaving no empty seats.
